Holzstützen, die große Pinienbäume zum Vorbild haben tragen das Dach des Ausstellungsbaus. Das Tragwerk ist optimiert und kommt mit schlanken Querschnitten aus. Ähnlich wie ein natürlicher Baum verzweigt sich das Tragwerk bis in den Wipfel. Das Dach selbst wird gebildet aus einer Struktur von Hexagonen, die ein optimales Flächentragwerk bilden. Auch das Hexagon kommt in der Natur vor und ist eine optimierte Form, wie sie z.b. Bienen zum Bau ihrer Waben verwenden.

In den Knoten der Hexagone greifen die Zweige der Baumstützen an und tragen das Dach.

Die auf der Tragstruktur liegende transluzente Folie lässt Licht hindurch, um den Raum zu belichten. Das Licht- und Schattenspiel das sich im Inneren zeigt schafft eine Atmosphäre wie in einem natürlichen Wald. Das Thema der Natur zeigt sich hier nochmals auf andere Art und Weise.

Wooden columns, similar to big pine trees, carry the roof of the exhibition pavilion. The bearing structure is optimized and operating with slim dimensions. Similar to a natural tree the structure derives to the treetop. The roof itself is shaped as a structure of hexagons, that form an ideal surface structure. Even the hexagon can be found in nature and is another optimized form, as f.e. bees use for the construction of their honeycombs.

The columns grab the nodes of the hexagons and carry the roof.

The translucent membrane lying on the hexagonal structure lets the light through in order to illuminate the interior. The light and shadow play that one can see in the interior creates an atmosphere similar to a natural forest. So the theme of nature is hereby shown again in another way.
