Das eingeschossige, nicht unterkellerte Haus liegt auf einem Hanggrundstück in Bad Endorf.
Seine organische, amorphe Form reagiert auf die Bedingungen des Aussen-, wie auch des Innenraumes, das Haus verschränkt die Landschaft mit dem Inneren des Hauses. Es formt zb einen Patio um einen bestehenden riesigen Ahornbaum, der nachts beleuchtet wird und als ein Stilleben der Natur vom Wohnzimmer aus betrachtet werden kann.
Die Innenwände bilden das orthogonale Rückgrat des Hauses, die Wände berühren kaum die fließende Außenwand. Die inneren Wände tragen das Dach und erlauben der nichttragenden Fassade ihr organisches Eigenleben.
Die Rundungen des Baukörpers werden Außen mit einer vertikalen Stulpschalung aus unbehandeltem Lärchenholz verkleidet, die für dieses Projekt entwickelt wurde.
Aus Dickholz sind die Decke und die Innenwände gebaut, einzelne Bretter sind zu einer Platte verbunden, vertikale Nuten strukturieren die Oberfläche der Platten. Die einzelnen Blöcke der Innenräume bleiben in Sichtholz und werden beleuchtet.
Der Boden ist aus Eschenholz, die Sockelleisten und der obere Wandabschluss aus spiegelndem Edelstahl.
Das Haus ist sehr effizient wärmegedämmt und nur mit dem Kachelofen gut zu beheizen. Die Dachterrasse wird als Steingarten angelegt und bietet einen phantastischen Ausblick auf die Alpen und den nahegelegenen Simssee.
The single-storey house with no basement is located on a hillside property in Bad Endorf.
Its organic, amorphous form reacts to the conditions of the outside as well as the interior; the house intertwines the landscape with the interior of the house. For example, it forms a patio around an existing giant maple tree, which is illuminated at night and can be viewed as a still life of nature from the living room.
The interior walls form the orthogonal spine of the house, the walls barely touching the flowing exterior wall. The inner walls support the roof and allow the non-load-bearing facade to live its own organic life.
The curves of the building are clad on the outside with vertical cladding made of untreated larch wood, which was developed for this project.
The ceiling and the interior walls are made of thick wood, individual boards are connected to form a panel, vertical grooves structure the surface of the panels. The individual blocks of the interior remain in exposed wood and are illuminated.
The floor is made of ash wood, the skirting boards and the upper wall finish are made of reflective stainless steel.
The house is very efficiently insulated and can only be heated well with the tiled stove. The roof terrace is designed as a rock garden and offers a fantastic view of the Alps and the nearby lake Simssee.
